We welcome Visitors and we encourage people to always follow the footpath.
We try to educate and help in understanding that human interaction is something that can create negative impact if it happens to often or in a unpredictable manner.
Many species, and especially ground nesting species do not tolerate much human interaction.
We request that visitors show care and respect when visiting so that we as humans create as little negative impact as possible.
We hope that everyone visiting will bring home good experiences and hopefully inspirational knowledge on how to interact with our natural environment.
As we mentioned that the red deer are being managed, an annual cull of red deer have to take place. The majority of this cull for the male red deer is happening from late September til 20th of October. And again for the female and calves red deer from 21st. Of October and until end of February. All is done or overlooked by a professional and educated stalker.
It will always be helpful for the employees at Braemore if anyone wanting to walk the grounds establish contact prior to a visit in order to show the best consideration possible.

Walking routes:
We have designated walking routes marked on most ordnance maps. We encourage any visitor to follow these routes during the course of their hike.
We have experienced that traffic generates a considerable amount of waste along the edges of the road. It is our hope that some of our visitors will take the opportunity to combine education and help by assisting in keeping the area tidy.
We have for the same reason made bags available for collecting rubbish. We imagine that some families will take this opportunity and contribute to the education of our next generation, We will donate GBP 5 to the Scottish Wildlife Trust for every bag collected.
